About Me!
Hello, I’m Samantha Kaufmann, I am currently studying Fashion and Textiles with a concentration in Merchandising at SUNY Oneonta. I am a junior and I am currently waiting to get into the Fashion Institute of Technology for the 2023-2024 school year for the major of Fashion Business Management. I am from Long Island, New York but I’ve always dreamt to live and work in New York City to pursue my fashion career. One day, I would love to travel internationally for fashion because I love to travel and would love to see the differences in fashion throughout the United States and other countries.
Some experience I have in the apparel industry includes my position as the apparel chair for my sorority, Alpha Kappa Phi. I started this executive board position in the Spring 2022 semester to the Fall 2022 semester. I was in charge of making designs, receiving feedback from consumers, ordering through various apparel companies like TGIgreek and Custom Ink, and dealing with payments as well. This gave me the experience to be able to order apparel for a large group through bulk orders and individual orders. This knowledge will help me in my future fashion career to be creative, analytical, and successful.
